Astrological Theme Contest

On Saturday, we had a "competition".  The theme was astrological, in honor of the passing of Neil Armstrong and the 3rd quarter contest. Not many students entered the contest which also included Nail Art & Mannequin hairstyling. Styles where to be anything themed outer space or anything related to space in general.

Those who tackled the competition:

 

 

All mannequins were due by 9am on Saturday, good way to get everyone on time to school.
I think more advertisement could have been done in order to get more student participation.
Posters or flyer's posted around the school. I really wanted to see dolls by those who did not participate.

My doll was from the theme of Star Trek.  My style incorporated several styling techniques. Besides she works on the "Enterprise". I did have a personal favorite, the Galaxy of Planets doll.

Customers were asked to vote for their favorite doll. After several ties a selection finally made the cut. There was a 1st & 2nd place and everyone else receive something for participation. Only one student entered in the Nail competition. Perhaps, because we only have 2 nail techs in training now.
Me myself not too skilled in the nail area. I can do a good manicure. ;)

1st Place Moon Doll (Taylor)

2nd Place Astronaut Doll (Anna)

 

 

And the Nail Art winner, the only entry was Nails by Apple!  She did such a great job.

 



 

 

I'm looking forward to the next quarterly contest. My personal job to spread the word!

Let's get the excitement going. (I'm thinking of hair designs now.)
