So I walk in and I'm a ball of nerves! (Heart beating fast)
The day begins with attending theory class for an hour then you are on the floor!
Class is more in depth; the workbook needs to be completed with the corresponding chapter.
At the end of each chapter, we test & turn in workbook for final grade.
If you apply yourself it's not too bad. I came in on Hair Coloring, Chapter 13.
On to the floor & setting up your station:
You are assigned to a station in the center isle, in order for the floor instructor to have quick access to you & your needs.
And to keeep an watchful eye on you.
My first day was enjoyable, I survived and realized; I like this. I don't think anyone could see me shaking~~~~~
Roller Sets are still my favorite and will remain so. Only draw back is rolling hair that is too short even for the blue rollers. What a drag. If all else fails just roll what you can and thermal curl the rest once your client has completed drying time.
Time flys when you are on the floor compared to the classroom pre 200 hours.
U learn so.much on the flior then in the classroom u learn how to handle things that may come up in a salon. My frist day on the floor was I was excitied but nervus wreak
